parasol b To Show QR Code Paintings in Downtown Durham
I’ll be showing my Formation series of QR code paintings this fall in the context of the urban landscape of downtown Durham, NC. The series was selected by the Durham Storefront Project, an initiative to display “fun, celebratory installations that creatively activate the space and engage passers-by” in otherwise underutilized storefront windows.
The installation will be put in place to coincide with the Annual Durham Art Council Art Walk on November 19th and should remain hanging until January.
I hope to see you at the Art Walk–mark your calendar for Saturday, November 19th. My installation will be conveniently located near Whisky for after-art celebratory drinks. I’ll post more details as they come.
I’m pleased to be able to participate in this. I think it is a good fit for my work, which begs for folks to mingle and participate (bring your smart phone or a friend who has one!).
